The My Sub K-12 app for substitutes is part of Tyler Technologies’ Absence & Substitute software, powered by ReadySub. This free app empowers substitutes to review job openings, receive job notifications, and retrieve lesson plans. Available jobs are posted by districts using the Absence & Substitute software, and notifications are sent to substitutes who work in that district.
With the free My Sub K-12 app, substitutes seeking part-time or temporary K-12 employment will be able to access jobs by location, job type, and classroom. They can also view their past jobs and account information right from the mobile app.
For support questions, access live chat, phone, and email support from tylertech.com. As My Sub K-12 relies on accurate information from your school district, please contact your district leadership directly if you have additional questions or concerns about posted openings.

Want ready sub back. Can't get an icon on my home screen for this so I only get phone calls. Can't get text messages and can't look to see when the job is for and if I am busy that day. Can't stand this app, buts it's all I have to work with.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Karen. When the app is downloaded, the My Sub K-12 icon should appear in your app list at which point you can add it on your home screen. You should also receive push notifications from the app with new job offerings and changes to your existing jobs. A member of our support team will be reaching out to help.

This app is completely different from readysub browser. It is bland, almost like an inmate, correctional facility app. It does not appeal in color, or tabs.

First, the app was hard to find by name in Google Play App Store. Secondly, when I downloaded it on my new phone there is no place for calendar display where I can request time off

Hi Laura and thanks for reaching out. The My Sub K-12 app is for substitutes to view and accept open jobs. To enter a time off request, you can log into your employee account from the web browser on any device.
