Vernon McGee is a big help when studying scripture. I love the Thru the Bible program. However, the app could use some improvements. I have to select my language every time I sign in, or the app stops halfway through a lesson. I also have to scroll through all the books to get to where I left off. It would be nice to be able to pick it up at my stopping point. Also, if my phone screen cuts off and I contine to the next lesson, the app does not register that I've completed that lesson.

It took some figuring out, but it's possible to listen to the 5-year program without the radio broadcast portions by going to the "Start Your Journey" section and creating an account. This isn't clear on the app nor the website but it has to be discovered by digging. It would be nice for the app to be more clear about this. Also, when you hit "Continue Journey" it starts at the beginning, not where you actually are. Many of the completed parts don't show up as completed either. App needs work.

Dear Nehemiah, thank you for your candid feedback. In addition to Start Your Journey, you can also press and hold on a verse to bring up Dr. McGee's teaching for that section of the Bible. When you use this feature, it will play Dr. McGee's teachings without the introductory remarks and closing remarks. May God richly bless you!

I love Thru The Bible and this app is a great tool for listening to and getting insight on God's word. The only problem I have with the app is that you have to make sure the app is open and auto play turned off and your phone screen open when an episode ends or it will not record that you watched it. If you have it on auto play and let the episode keep playing it doesn't recognize that you watched the previous episode so I don't use auto play.
