Not only could I not get wifi access, but but each attempt (over several days) was a different experience of frustration and failure. The app tells you you need to connected to wifi, and when you try to connect to wifi, it says you need to be registered on the app. When you go to register, you are often only given the option to login, with no link to register. You never know what will pop up. And that's not even getting to the credit card...

Absolutely dreadful. The sign in page for WiFi tells you to use this app to sign in. The app says you can't use it because you're not signed in to WiFi. The website didn't have any option to register for WiFi, neither does the app. Useless.

So you have to install the app to use the WiFi, you need data to install the app in the first place, then it will work a bit and then stop, finally it asks for your data to register and also wants your credit card. Oh, and the maximum password length is 10 characters. I'd just stare at a black tunnel than deal with this joke of an app any longer. Apparently Trenitalia/Frecce think they are an aircraft carrier.
