Okay...FOURTH time (review) is a charm!! This is a very nice little app. I was wrong before. There WERE solutions to BOTH my issues. #1. The app "pauses" when my G6 screen "times out" and there's no phone setting to stop the time-out. But there ARE apps that will do this for you. I found a simple on/off toggle app in the Play Store and it works just fine. #2. The OTHER issue was a bit of a bear. The rep voice-count kept slowing down in mid-set, which was VERY distracting and annoying. It took a while (days, in fact), but I FINALLY found the "automatic slowdown" switch the developer mentioned to me in response to my earlier (low star) review. There are 2 down-facing triangles, one on top of another, to the far right of the "Speed" line (last line down.) The developer calls this "a little V", which is completely misleading. Anyway, this is the toggle switch to turn the automatic slow-down on or off, and works fine. Turn it OFF and the rep speed stays the same throughout the set. Turn it ON and the rep speed slows down progressively in the 2nd half of each set. Your choice. I have now fallen in love with this simple-to-use rep-and-set counting app all over again!!!

Good and simple workout counter. Very simple controls, although you ought to get used to them. Controls are difficult to figure out the first time, like the Short Count button, or the fact that "+" decreases and "-" increases speed. This app is best suited for a single exercise; if you do different exercises, you need to change settings on the fly. Includes catchy music for different types of workouts, nice touch!

Works great, especially if I want to track my rest times without constantly looking at my phone. Would be great to have an audable voice at the rest periods indicating 20 seconds remaining, and 10 seconds remaining. That would give me a better idea of how much rest I have left and get ready for the next set. Spotify integration would be a bonus.
