MyHealth Records is an online tool that lets Albertans 14 years of age or older see some of their health information from Alberta Netcare, the provincial electronic health record.
MyHealth Records also lets you keep better track of your health in one secure place. You can get, store, and manage your personal health information.
My Health Records lets you:
- access your lab test results, as soon as they’re ready
- see medicines you received from community pharmacies
- see most immunizations you received in Alberta
- keep journals to track your mood, sleep, weight and fitness goals
- upload and track information from your personal health devices, including blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and fitness trackers that are supported by My Health Records
- print out reports to share with your healthcare providers
- share your record with someone you trust
- safely exchange messages with your healthcare providers, provided they are using the same messaging tool
- add and store other personal health information

This app makes me crazy. Why when you scroll down to a test result, click to see the results, then backup to see more.....why oh why does it send you all the way back up to the top of the list? So frustrating having to endlessly scroll through all results, just to have to re scroll from the top again. Seems like it would be a super simple fix to send you back to the record you looked at other than to the start.

It would be great if the information was updated occasionally; it's fantastic that it has a record of things from a year ago, but sometimes you just want a bit more recent info - this is not the place to look. Also, don't bother losing or trying to change your password, as no matter what you enter, it's not valid, so no more access... to your outdated records. Meh, maybe not worth it.

If you are reading this in a post Covid-19 world, ignore these review bombing nannies. Everyone was rushing to get digital access to their immunization record, which may be necessary to enter certain businesses, causing servers to time out, crash, etc. Other than that the app is fine. Pretty neat actually. It kind of made me think about my health and keeping track of it all in one place is perfect. We will see if updates come down or if general support dies off relatively quick.
