The epu app is designed to show users even lesser-known places and guide them to sustainable travel with respect to the surrounding nature. On the routes, the application alerts you to interesting places that you might otherwise miss without noticing, and you can also collect virtual species of plants and animals, about which you will learn a lot of information in the form of short interesting facts. You can also complete fun quizzes for each type.
The application informs you in the form of smart notifications about entering protected areas, provides important information about the rules of conduct and explains the reasons for possible bans or temporary restrictions. Thanks to this, users learn how to respect nature and everyone can contribute to the protection of biodiversity.
In cooperation with all Czech national parks and the Agency for Nature and Landscape Protection (AOPK), the application brings together current information on national parks and protected landscape areas in the Czech Republic in one place. Users are thus informed about news, organized events, closures or temporary restrictions.
EPU also provides a community platform where users can easily organize various volunteer events, excursions, joint trips or report a defect on the route. The community can also be used to share experiences and photos, users can discuss routes and get valuable advice from other travelers.
