Ramos Supermercados

The history of Ramos Supermercados began almost forty years ago, when a dream common to many Brazilians took shape from small steps through the strength of the union of a young couple, José and Marli Ramos.

In search of new opportunities and a better life, the couple left life and work in the countryside to move to Gravataí. When they arrived, José started working in the production of a large tire factory, Pirelli, while Dona Marli worked as a seamstress in a company in Porto Alegre.

Dona Marli had already worked in her grandfather's old grocery store, and her aptitude and experience in customer relationships made her nurture the idea of ​​having her own business.

In 1987, they decided to open a small bazaar and clothing store in Passo da Caveira, with about 25 square meters. Soon, with commitment, dedication and love for what they did, this store became a small market, evolving with butcher and bakery services. Since then, it has been growing with each passing year.

In 2016, they opened a branch in the Sítio Gaúcho neighborhood and today the two units have a total of 2850 square meters built and employ more than 120 employees.

The Ramos family emphasizes that they like to interact, get closer and strengthen the community in which they live, 90 percent of the employees live in the vicinity of the market and actively participate in solidarity actions to help the residents of the region.

Wagner Ramos, the couple's son, is one of those responsible for keeping the family business on the right track and emphasizes that he seeks improvement and improvement in processes as a whole to continue offering varied products, quality services and low prices. The result of this is to bring the customer an environment conducive to a good shopping experience.

In the current scenario, the company plans to grow and become more and more professional to continue offering a quality service with the essence of the Ramos family.
