Lucas Supermercados

The history of Lucas Supermercados began in 1992, when the young Divino do Nascimento, from a humble family, decided to open a small store in Tupaciguara/MG, after working for a few years selling sweets that he produced himself.

As the space was small and the number of customers increased every day, it was necessary to expand the business. So in 1995, Divino bought the land in front of the warehouse and built the first supermarket there, which now has butchery, bakery and fruit and vegetable sections, offering customers a greater variety of products.

The opportunity for growth came in 2002, when the first branches were opened in the cities of Canápolis and Prata. In 2004, it expanded its horizons even further by opening the first unit in Goiás, in the city of Itumbiara.

Currently, the chain has 19 stores in the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás, 01 gas station in Quirinópolis/GO and is among the largest private employers in the region, with a workforce of more than 1,000 employees.

In its 30 years of history, the company has always been guided by ethics and respect for its employees, suppliers and customers, gaining the trust of the communities where it operates and valuing its rural roots.
