Located in the neighborhood of Botafogo, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the CBC has maintained its basic proposal since its foundation in 1929: to be an active scientific institution, concerned with presenting its members with discussions on the modernity of surgery, valuing the advances and prioritizing the evidence.
Recognized throughout Brazil since 1929, CBC has sought to act in all fields related to the surgeon's activity. The basic proposal is to discuss current solutions for surgical diseases that affect people from the most different socio-cultural levels.
