João Ferreira de Almeida Bible:

Over the years, a multitude of translations and versions of the Bible have been created.

Without a doubt, the most important version translated into Portuguese is the João Ferreira de Almeida version.

The translation of the Bible was made by pastor and translator João Ferreira de Almeida, a minister of the Reformed Church who was born in Portugal in 1628 and was the first to translate the Bible into Portuguese.

The João Ferreira de Almeida version was published for the first time in 1681, in Amsterdam and is considered a milestone in the history of the Bible in Portuguese and the best-known and preferred version by evangelicals today in Brazil.
