The Curio is a passerine bird of the Thraupidae family, also known as avineyard, bicudo, rice porridge and purple breast (Pará). There are close relatives of our Bullfinch in Nigeria and California, but they differ from ours in plumage and song.
The bullfinch is highly regarded for its singing, which is why it is one of the most hunted and caged songbirds by breeders, reaching the level of a significant reduction in its population in its natural environment.
