Kyotaro Ichikawa may look like an ordinary middle school student, but in his heart he dreams of killing. Thus, it is not surprising that the person he wants to kill the most is the class idol, "Anna Yamada". When reading alone in his beloved school's library, he inadvertently begins to run into Yamada, who secretly comes to eat her beloved sweets. Through their interactions, Ishikawa discovers how chaotic Yamada is, and can't help but support her from the side. Meanwhile, Yamada herself can't help but tease Ichikawa mercilessly over his confused reactions. With a range of warm daily interactions, a bond between the two grows into something more than mere library acquaintances. Perhaps, in time, Ichikawa will realize that his killing desires have transformed into something else entirely
