After receiving one of these drones over 6 years ago, I finally figured out how the app works so I can finally use the camera, and I'm honestly kinda let down. First off to even use the app you gotta put your phone in airplane mode and then connect to the drone's wifi, after that your good to go except the app controls don't work and you can't recover the footage. Oh and the live feed is delayed so be prepared for that if you plan on using the vr feature.

We installed this app with no problem. It took a little while to figure out what all the settings and options are. But they were listed in our owner's manual. This is the first time we've had an app that really works with our phone. We do have a decent phone, it's a Moto G4 Plus. Maybe the app doesn't work with older phones and older operating systems (we have a newer Android system). The camera and videocamera work pretty well, but the video stops taking video at somewhere between the 9 and 30 second mark. So we wrote to the company (Sky Rider) to see they can troubleshoot that. Anyone else have a video freeze issue?

You have to open your WiFi and connect to the drone for the app to work. I was having the same problem as all of the other folks...app just really didn't do anything, seemed to never open. Once I connected to the drone's wifi I had video and things were working like they should. It would be helpful if the instructions were more clear on this point.
