How do we teach our kids about money? When they just see us tap our cards every day, it's impossible for them to connect the dots... Where does money come from? What's it worth in the real world, and how hard is it to get?
Enter SquareOne: Their first contactless card and account, with smart parental controls. Pocket money, jobs, savings... In a way they understand. We're a Kiwi team on a mission to empower our next generation, by helping them be great with money. We had to learn the hard way, so we want something better for our kids - and yours.

As the kids grow up we’re teaching them lots - including teaching them about money. When we were kids we had piggy-banks, savings books and star charts. We could count our money, and see our physical pile of cash and coins break down as we spent. We could also watch it build up as we did jobs and saved…
And that’s how it was done for generations. But the move to a cashless world has caught everyone off-guard. Options for youth accounts are limited, and the market’s approach is out of date, and out of touch. So we’re fixing it. For our kids, and yours.

We have been using SquareOne for quite a while now and have never been disappointed. Deposits from Bank to Card is instant. Response to queries are very quick and there is always someone there to reply to me and help right away. Good note is that kids can also use the card overseas anywhere credit cards are accepted. No card info sighted on the cards for security reasons. Something credit cards to follow too so no creit information can be stolen. So many great features! Highly recommended

I love the concept of this app but the two downsides I have found is that they need a phone to use it. It would be amazing if it could be reconfigured to work on a Chromebook too (well it doesn't work on the Chromebooks we have at least). So the younger sister can't see their journey unless they as to look on my phone. Secondly, as it's paywave it means that their cards don't work at the local dairy (or any other store that doesn't accept credit). Otherwise it would be 5 stars!

Fabulous app and concept for managing chores and teaching children to navigate the modern digital financial world. My son is 10 and was super excited to get started with his own card. It's so much easier for me to manage too, I can just top up when it suits and know his pocket money is sorted, no more forgetting to get cash out! Love the security features too, great peace of mind. The whole product is outstanding and I can't wait to see all the new things coming. Do it, you won't regret it!
