Show your phone's orientation in the X, Y, and Z plane, with digital precision. If you need maximum precision use a rigid phone stand and then zero out the measurements on a known-flat surface. Doing this I can get error down to less than 1 degree, although this may depend on the quality of your phone.

Simple basic app. Does the job well. The only additional feature I recommend is zero calibration.

That feature is only available in the paid version of the app, sorry! Have to support development somehow.
