Nearly froze phone. S22 ULTRA. Screen started flashing very fast and couldn't exit to close program. Continued to swipe up to close and finally was able to close program. It happened when trying to get authorization. Too bad. It looked like it would have met my needs for drone preflight checklist, LAANC, etc. Uninstalled quickly. Will keep looking. Thanks for trying.

Kitty Hawk was easier to use. With this app, I can't figure out how to simply take off even though it's easy to find the macro fly option. If I can't take off, I can't fly in cases where DJI fly won't let me. A tutorial would be helpful that specifically answers this question, though it sounds as though it's not an option at the moment with the Mavic Air 2 due to need for updating.

Hi, Adam. It sounds like you're running into DJI's unofficial "geofencing" where they limit where a pilot can fly. While Aloft can get you FAA authorization to fly through LAANC, for example, you may still need to unlock your DJI drone through their app or Fly Safe website. Best to research DJI support for how to do that for your drone.

I'm a commercial drone pilot and this app is nothing but grief and loves to break right before I need it for a flight. I've consistently had so many issues with it and the worst part is there's only a handful of LAANC providers to choose from so you're pretty much stuck with it. Like tonight, it's literally just a blank screen even after reinstalling it and is completely useless. Nice!
