Terrible! The writer behind this game didn't even try to stick to era-appropriate language, in dialogue or description, and seems to have little familiarity with the source material. The changes between quotes taken from the original book and prose from the game are extremely jarring. I've enjoyed other Choice Of Games and was excited for one based on Miss Austen's masterpiece, but this was a huge disappointment.

Lacks in originality and inconsistent in the style of writing. Sometimes enjoyable, other times plain boring. Other than choosing your bachelor and occasionally deciding the flow of conversation, your character doesn't have much of an influence on the story. Whenever choices were presented (which was rare), they hardly mattered. Overall, it was just okay.

I would have liked to give another half star because it's a little better than 3 stars. The story is well thought out and written, but it was unnecessarily long in a lot of places. I had to skip over pages because it felt like a chore to read at times (and I felt bad doing it because I probably missed some good parts). The direction the game took was a little confusing for me. I would have liked to see some stats, maybe archetypes to shape your character rather than just "what you see is what you get". Though that's just my opinion. The ROs are great. Colonel Fitzwilliam is definitely my favourite.
