About this app

Manage and synchronize your bookmarks via Nextcloud, any WebDAV server, any Git server or via Google Drive.

This is the standalone bookmarks manager android app variant of floccus. You can also install floccus on your Desktop browsers to sync bookmarks with them. This App, due to technical reasons, cannot access bookmarks in your mobile browser apps directly, which is why you can only view them in the app or import and export them as a html file.

It's a nice app, when it works. There's a few things I could use polishing, but that is overshadowed by its biggest problem. The app has a huge bug which renders it unusable after you run into it. I have contacted the developer about it and they pushed and update to the play store. The update didn't fix the issue, and I notified the developer but have heard nothing back about the weeks ago. The app will still take links but you can't open the app. You have no warning it's not saving.

Hi Stuart, I'm sorry I didn't get back to you via email -- your mail got lost in my inbox. I should discourage people from contacting me via email about bugs, as it's hard for me to keep track of things that way. The better way is by filing an issue on Github: https://github.com/floccusaddon/floccus/issues I'd love to fix this for you :)

It's a great app in what it does but you can't really achieve what it says you can. "Sync bookmarks across browsers" would make you think that bookmarks from chrome would be automatically added to firefox but in reality you have to manually inport an html file (which basically none of the mobile browsers provide) and then add that into the app, then export the bookmarks to the browser of your choice (again, which most mobile browsers wont let you do). It doesnt work on mobile, and its not "sync"

Thank you for this review, indeed the purpose would be more correctly be described as "Sync bookmarks across devices". For technical reasons the floccus app cannot access browser bookmarks directly.

Cool, one can move stuff between folders after clicking "Edit", but can we get an option to create a new folder from the screen hat pops up when sharing a link with floccus from a browser for example? The menu only asks for where to save. A "+" button to create a New Folder would be great!

Thank you for downloading this app and writing a review. Adding a create folder option to the link sharing dialog is a great idea!
