About this app

If you clicked here, you may have recently suffered the unfortunate loss of a family member. Or you may be marking a Yahrtzeit, the anniversary of your loved one's passing. Either way, reciting Kaddish is one of the greatest gifts you can give your loved one. You may discover it also to be integral to your mourning and healing process.

However, saying Kaddish can be daunting, for those experiencing a loss for the first time and have not had to say Kaddish before.

Kaddish Assistant helps you learn how to say Kaddish at your own pace and in your own tradition. Read along as each word of the Kaddish is recited and highlighted. Learn how to properly pronounce each word, using either Hebrew or transliteration. And understand what each word means with integrated translations.

Kaddish Assistant helps with the following:

· Read-along and learn to say Kaddish at your own pace.

· Select from three traditions including: Ashkenazic, Sephardic and Chabad.

· Use the built-in Yahtzheit calculator to determine when to say Kaddish.

· Use the “My Yahtzheits” feature to save key family Yahrtzeit dates and be notified before upcoming Yahrtzeits.

· Notify friends and loved ones when and where you will be saying Kaddish so they can join you and help you make a minyan.

· Kaddish quick tips and articles help demystify this spiritual prayer.

· Request that Kaddish be recited in Israel.

· And more…

The app is available with multilingual support, including the following language: English, Hebrew, French, Spanish, Russian, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Great app. It's simple to use, and it has exactly what is essential and needed for this kind of app. It seems that it has a small error, when I want to introduce a Hebrew date for a new entry, the current Jewish year 5780 is missing from the list. But if I convert from the civil calendar to the jewish calendar, then is working. Will be even greater if we could share it with other apps like WhatsApp...and not just email.

Thank you for your feedback and for pointing out this oversight. This has been corrected in the latest update released last week! Happy Chanukah!

I found this app in 2019 after losing my Mum. The first time I had to read Kaddish Shelema so this is a useful learning tool. I noticed that I could only use it for guidance as the Sephardi Siddurs in my Shul did not have the Kaddish in exactly the same way in the Suddur. However, I believe that Chabad have a very good blueprint and if they expanded upon this in many areas, they could create a suite of apps that are worth paid version. I always pay for well written apps.

I'm excited to try out this app however it already doesn't seem to be working. I'm trying to add my Yahrzeit dates but it just says "Loading" and never does anything else. Not sure if I should uninstall it or not. While the prayer practice will be helpful, the reminder part would also be useful so I'm undecided right now.
