About this app

VLCBenchmark is a benchmark application focused on testing android devices' video capabilities using the VLC Media Player.
It runs a test suite of video samples encoded according to many different parameters to see what works and what doesn't.
It then rates the device according these tests, and allows you to upload the results online, for everyone to see and compare devices.

Program is useless, also contains animated nudity and hidden adverts, material illegally obtained and used and links to illegal download sites Tests performed aren't even fit for use, program plays one of each type of file in all frame sizes and uses different video at 33% and 65% onwards, for a true test the video would always be the same and last no more than 5 seconds, running each time with applied effects and speed variations, the test provided is totally useless and a huge waste of time

I hope you like flying geese. There might be different videos but I didn't get far. This test runs 552 tests of the same video clip at different resolutions, framerates, bit depths, and file types. From what I could tell, it would take a couple hours to run. I stopped at test 16. I'm sure this is helpful to some people. Maybe one day I'll let it run when I go to sleep to just see but I thought I would do the android community a service by at least saying what this test actually does.
