Smartbak is the solution for those looking for a reliable and flexible trailer rental service. With the app you can easily reserve and pay for a trailer via your smartphone. You can choose from different types of trailers, depending on your transport needs.

In addition, the app offers a handy map view to find the nearest location. With the Smartbak app you have access to your reservation details anytime, anywhere and you can adjust them if necessary.

(Un)lock with your smartphone: You go through the entire process to rent your trailer via the app on your smartphone. And that in a few minutes!

Rent 24/7: Depending on the parking options at the location, you are not bound by opening hours. So you can rent whenever you want.

Rent per hour: With us you can also rent a trailer for a short period of time, even during the weekend! So you are not stuck with a high rent while you only need the trailer for a short time.

How does Smartbak work?
1. Register in minutes.
Simply register with the app's handy driver's license verification system.

2. Find & rent.
Find a Smartbak near you in the app and make a reservation at the touch of a button. Add your payment details, pay the rent and deposit, and you're ready to drive.

3. Retrieve and unlock.
Pick up the trailer and unlock it with your smartphone. Check the trailer for damage and make sure you follow all the steps that the app shows you.

4. Park & ​​lock
Done with your job? Park the Smartbak neatly where it was and end the rental with the app. Your deposit will be refunded within a few days.

Frequently Asked Questions about Smartbak

I don't see a Smartbak near me, why?

We are a start-up and therefore only have limited coverage in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, it is not possible to only offer an app in a certain area, so in the beginning it may well happen that you download the app while you are in an area where we have not yet started. In that case, please contact us and we will see what we can do for you!

What does Smartbak cost?

At Smartbak you do not have to rent a whole day, but you can also rent per hour. It is wise to properly estimate how much time you will need so that the next customer does not arrive at an empty spot. If you rent it longer than expected, we will deduct the extra rent from the deposit you paid.

Do I need a driving license BE?

You only need a BE driving license if you have a car that has a higher maximum weight than 2749kg with a Smartbak size L, and 2150kg with a Smartbak size XL. You can see the maximum weight of your car on the registration certificate of your car.
