Pristina is the capital and largest city of Kosovo. The city is located on a plain in the north-eastern part of Kosovo, in the vicinity of the Gollaku mountain range.
Pristina has always been an interesting crossroads, to the point that it was taken by the Ottomans, the Serbs, the Albanians.
The inhabitants of Pristina are called Prishtinali. The city has a majority of Albanian population, while the communities of Serbs, Bosnians and Roma are smaller.
It is the administrative, political and cultural center of Kosovo, with a university seat and an international airport.
