About this app

This application can be used as an Unicode explorer, or an advanced character picker.
Free as in beer, no spying, no adds, no in-app purchases :-)

The lite version does not include embedded fonts, nor extra support for Kanji characters (Unihan database). This makes it (much) smaller than the full version.

You can browse the full Unicode range, jump to Unicode code points or blocks of your choice, or search in character names.

For all characters you get the standard information in the Unicode Character Database (UCD).

Supports characters beyond Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP) and Emoji (including the color Emoji starting with Android 4.3).

Please let me know what you like / don’t like / would like.

Excellent app -- easy to use, with many useful features. Lets me search for either a text string (if I'm looking for a specific character) or Unicode block (if I'm browsing the database). The Favorites feature is a time-saver that lets me save a list of characters I use often. I've tried several Unicode apps, and this is the one I've stuck with, for features and ease-of-use. Thanks to the dev!

This is a really useful app for anybody who works with coding! one thing that could be improved is the "find in description" feature. I was trying to find all chars that had "z notation" in their namelist. symbols like "β€–" did not show up in the results, even though they had "z notation" in their namelist. also, could you add an option to the settings to toggle between "single tap to add char to input, double tap for info" and "single tap for info, double tap to add char to input"? thanks.

First, thank you for taking the time to write a few words, rather than stars. Stars are nice, but don't help me make things better :-) Without selecting the "Use Noto fonts" it actually uses the current device font. For double click, that is not very common on mobile devices. But I will try it, see how it feels, and if it feels "right", I release.

In the latest version (2021.09.09-lite), the app just close immediately right after launch. No FC dialog shown. Trying to uninstall/install with no luck. Was working fine in previous version. FYI for developer, still a great app through. TBA: Working flawlessly on version 2021.09.17-lite. Thanks for the quick fix! πŸ‘

Sorry, and thanks for the patience. I have a fix, going through the Google approval process, and will be in the Store soon (off my hands). Thank you! :-) πŸ‘
