About this app

Brevent, black prevent, can app-standby (since Android 6.0, not supported on some devices) or force-stop apps without root, prevent apps from running in long time.

Brevent never brevent apps not in Bervent list. If apps are launched then quit (tapping Back or so), Brevent will app-standby them; if apps timed out in standby, or swiped from recents screen, Brevent will force-stop them. Whenever apps are running without activity, Brevent will force-stop them.

Apps in Brevent list can be set "allow sync" to receive notifications or do sync jobs. Brevent won't standby "allow sync" apps, and Brevent won't force-stop "allow sync" apps with notifications or running in background.

Brevent supports Android 6 to Android 13, requires "USB debugging" or "Wireless debugging" (since Android 11) in "developer options".

In Android 8 - Android 14, Brevent won't work if debugging is off or USB option is changed. If debugging turns off when you unplug the cable, please change USB option. Normally, it's OK to keep USB option as default.

This app *might* be really good, but the design & UI is so unbelievably confused & unnecessarily complicated, that it's actually impossible to tell if it's doing what's expected (viz. stopping background processes). You need to overhaul the app design & interface to simplify & streamline user interaction. Greenify is reasonably simple: an app either is or isnt 'greenified' whereas it's almost impossible to tell if an app is 'brevented' because there are so many confusing lists, icons, status...

Using this app is bit cumbersome process. After every half an hour I have to open the app to keep. It working, Otherwise I have to start wireless debugging again, And if i switch between wi-fis, wireless debugging is stopped, then again I have to start app. Idea was good but implementation of idea is not good. Please make some changes to make it more practical. And usage guide is mentioned anywhere. It's like puzzle solving

DEVELOPER PLEASE READ: Your app is not compatible with Lineage OS. I have determined that it blocks the Lock Screen or something to that extent, which makes the phone totally unusable and slow (it took me 2 solid minutes to unlock my phone with my finger print). I request that you address this issue, but its your app so you can choose not to. Otther than that, I really enjoyed it, 5/5. If it works I will pay for the root option.
