About Credentials Mobile

Credentials Mobile is the enrolment companion to Credentials Studio, the desktop software that designs and prints ID cards.

Use it at the desk where people actually are. Photograph the cardholder, capture their signature, enter their details, and send the card to print on the workstation. No walking someone to a computer, and no typing a form twice.

REQUIRES CREDENTIALS STUDIO
This app is a companion, not a standalone product. It pairs to one computer running Credentials Studio on the same network by scanning a code shown on that computer's screen. Without a workstation there is nothing to pair to, so tap "Explore with sample data" on the welcome screen to see the whole app running on an invented college's register.

WORKS WHEN THE NETWORK DOES NOT
Enrolments, edits, photographs and signatures are saved on the phone and delivered when it is back with the workstation. If somebody changed the same record at the workstation while the phone was away, the phone asks which version should win rather than guessing. Every record tells you whether it is synced or still waiting, so nothing is ever lost in the gap between the two. The phone draws each cardholder's card itself, so you can see what will print even with no connection at all.

BUILT FOR THE HARDWARE YOU ALREADY CARRY
On Zebra devices the integrated barcode scanner is used directly, so pulling the trigger on a printed card brings up its holder. On any other phone the camera does the same job. Tablets get a two-pane layout with designs and records side by side, and the app keeps its place when the device is turned.

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
There is no account and no sign-in. The phone talks to your computer and to nothing else: no server of ours sits between them, and nothing it captures is ever sent to us. The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party code of any kind. The connection to your workstation is encrypted and checked against that computer's own certificate, so a phone cannot be tricked into sending cardholder details to another machine on the network. You can also require your fingerprint, face or screen lock each time the app is opened.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Browse your card designs and see both faces of a card
• Look up any cardholder and see their card as it will print
• Scan a printed card to pull up the person it belongs to
• Enrol somebody new, with a portrait from the camera or the gallery
• Capture a cardholder's signature with a finger on the screen
• Correct details later, and retake a photograph that did not work
• Send a finished card to print on the paired workstation
