Đón Tết — Đếm ngược Tết
How many days are left until Tet? A countdown widget based on the Vietnamese lunar calendar.
About Đón Tết — Đếm ngược Tết
How many days until Tet? Just turn on your computer and you'll see.
The countdown to New Year's Eve is based on the VIETNAMESE lunar calendar — not the Chinese calendar. The two calendars differ: in some years, the new moon falls between 11 PM and midnight Hanoi time, and Vietnam celebrates Tet on a different date than China. Lunar calendar apps using the same table will report incorrect dates in those years.
The Tet date is calculated using a fixed astronomical algorithm based on Vietnamese time (UTC+7), compared with the paper calendar — so it's accurate for all years, even those prone to errors.
