About Verma Jewellers

The foundation of “VERMA JEWELLERS, SOLAN” was laid by the late Shri Jawala Prasad Verma
in 1967. He was joined by his eldest son Shri Naresh Chand Verma and the father-son team
set their foot to work hard and establish Verma Jewellers in the heart of Solan town.
During the period of the next twenty five years both of them with a positive attitude
took certain concrete steps to expand. They included the adjacent area into a larger shop,
the present shop in 1995. Mr Naresh Chand Verma was joined by his young and dynamic
son Akshay Verma in 2002 after his successful completion of his studies in Gemology,
Diamond grading and jewellery manufacturing form Indian Diamond Institute, Surat.
He decided to lend a helping hand to his father in his business.

The first big step of Akshay Verma was to get Hallmarked Certification from Bureau of
Indian Standards for 100% Hallmarked Jewellery. They have the honour to be the first
jewellery to be certified by BIS in Himachal Pradesh in September 2002. Leveraging his
strengths of Business development, Product development, Developing & Managing Human
resources, especially System development & Administration, Akshay Verma has been the
catalyst of growth for the brand.

A new age professional, well versed with the requirements and challenges of a globalised
work environment, Akshay Verma is the sole powerhouse behind the stupendous success saga
of one of Himachal Pradesh’s best loved and renowned jewellery brands- Verma Jewellers.
From the day he joined the business as an enthusiastic young man of 21, back in 2000,
he relied on sheer passion and a soaring business vision to transcribe a magnificent
entrepreneurial odyssey. A jewellery shop which was a 5 employee shop when he joined
business has now humbly grown into a towering brand, offering it’s vast clientele a
totally unique and delightful jewellery experience and with an employee strength which
surpasses 60 (and counting) he has nurtured Verma Jewellers from a 700 sq.ft shop to
3500 sq.ft magnificient showroom.

Today, Verma Jewellers boasts a wide and new variety in Gold, Diamond & Silver Jewellery
stocks meticulously crafted from various parts of the country. Remarkable jewellery in
quality and craftsmanship from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Surat, Ahmedabad are available in
the store. Their exclusive Diamond Jewellery, specially handcrafted by experts of the trade
is unique.
