About Sloboda

Sloboda is a calm city builder about a 19th-century Ukrainian village.

You start with an empty field and a handful of coins. You place the first hut, lay a road to it — and people come. What grows next is up to you: a mill and a bakery, a pottery and a weaving house, or a church whose bell tower rises above the thatched roofs.

A VILLAGE THAT RUNS ITSELF
Villagers walk the roads, carrying grain to the mill, flour to the bakery, fresh bread to the market. Cows graze in the cattle yard. Every building needs working hands, and there are never quite enough of them.

HAPPINESS RUNS EVERYTHING
Well-fed, well-tended people work better. A well nearby, bread on the table, a healer down the road, a feast at the tavern — all of it lifts the mood of the village, and production rises with it. Neglect your people and the work stops.

YOUR OWN LAND
The village grows outward as well as upward: new plots of land are bought with your earnings. Lay roads, raise a gate at the entrance, adorn the yards — the settlement should look the way you imagined it.

NO RUSH
There are no enemies here, no timers, no way to lose. This is a game you sit down with to unwind: to watch people walk, the mill turn, and flocks of birds pass over the rooftops.
