Have you ever had the sorrowful experience of getting a new Android phone, transferring your old apps and data, only to discover you need to set all your apps up from scratch again?
This is because apps are allowed to 'opt-out' of backup support, however they don't often tell the user about this!
Cloud Backup Checker looks at all the apps on your device to determine whether they claim to support backups or not (the ALLOW_BACKUP flag).
You'll be able to see for yourself what apps on your phone support backups, and which apps turn it off, giving you that additional piece of information to be prepared for setting up a new phone.
Please note: Apps can, and often do interfere with this value. The most common way is leaving backups marked as supported, however defining in app configuration files that no app settings / databases are to be included (resulting in an empty backup). Cloud Backup Checker can only report to you what the app you are checking reports to Android, so please be aware that this is the best information available, but still might not be correct.
Also, since Android 9+, apps can specify different sets of data to be transferred from device-to-device locally vs. to the cloud, however there is no API made available by Google to show you this information, only the 'overall' backup support toggle.
Despite all those limitations, I hope you find this app helpful!
