Risk evaluation before surgical procedures and diagnostic interventions using an anesthesiological procedure requires interdisciplinary collaboration. This is the only way to identify potential risks during and after the procedure in good time pre-operatively and, if necessary, to optimize patients' pre-existing conditions. According to BQLL preoperative diagnostics, the departments of general medicine, internal medicine, anesthesiology and intensive care medicine and the surgical departments that provide indications are primarily responsible for this.
A major challenge is the long-term medication of patients in the perioperative environment. Can a medication be passed on perioperatively, does it have to be paused (how long before the procedure? when should it start again?) or does the ongoing treatment have to be changed perioperatively? This APP is intended to provide informative and concise help in everyday clinical practice and to make decisions easier with advice.
The recommendations, information and treatment options given are based on scientific evidence, but are of course not guaranteed and must be checked and taken responsibility for by the treating doctor.
