About Tree Mapper

TreeMapper is an extension for Plant-for-the-Planet users to register and monitor their restoration efforts. It is designed to simplify complex ecological analysis of the projects' impact while being simple enough that any layman can collect the data with their smartphone with a brief training.

The App Development process is not yet complete. However you are welcome to test the application and help us collect data for monitoring reforestation.

Known Issues/ Limitations

- It is not possible to delete, edit or retrieve uploaded TreeMapper registrations. We will implement an interface both in Tree Mapper and Plant-for-the-Planet Web App to support this feature.
- Registrations do not upload automatically to Plant-for-the-Planet.
- Tree Mapper registrations currently do not increment the Trillion Tree Campaign
- Tree Mapper has been tested to work on Android 10+
- Offline Maps is not perfect
- Species Selection is limited to Scientific Names only
- Tree Mapper has been configured to log all actions locally on device for debugging. This will be disabled/ changed to opt in mode at a later release.
