About NYU Langone Eye Test
The NYU Langone Eye Test app allows you to perform a visual assessment on your Android phone in preparation for a video visit or in-person appointment with your eye care provider. The app works in conjunction with your NYU Langone Health MyChart account. You can securely submit eye test results from the app to MyChart for review and discussion with your NYU Langone provider.
Several studies examining the effectiveness of mobile application technology in testing visual acuity are available for reference in the National Institute of Health’s U.S. National Library of Medicine (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/?term=visual+acuity+near+vision+testing+iPhone+mobile+app).
