The following features do not require a TMDb account:

-List details
-Get recommendations / similar items based on a movies
-Read reviews
-Watch associated videos (trailers, behind the scenes, etc...)

The following features do require a TMDb account:
-Add a movies to your favorite list
-Add movies to your watchlist
-Rate movies
-Add and manage custom movie lists

The app build on the https://www.themoviedb.org/ (TMDb) public database and Web API but is not an official client or otherwise endorsed by TMDb.
