About Aura
Aura is a public-first platform for civic discourse and accountable communication.
People come to Aura to participate in meaningful conversation and to keep that conversation going over time. Institutions — universities, government bodies, companies, associations and public offices — enter the same environment under clear, verified identity, so the public can see who is speaking and hold them to what they said.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Take part in public discussion, and carry context forward instead of starting over each time.
- Follow institutions and people, and see what they publish under their own name.
- Message directly, share photos, videos, files and voice notes, and see when a message was sent and read.
- Join voice and video calls, and hold meetings with the people and institutions you work with.
- Browse a public directory of verified institutions and the spaces they take part in.
- Receive announcements from institutions you follow.
IDENTITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Communication on Aura is attributable. It is not anonymous and not untraceable. Where an interaction requires it, identity is explicit and verifiable, and the authority to speak on an institution's behalf is granted to named people and can be revoked. Institutional identity here is an accountability mechanism, not a barrier to taking part.
TRUST
Aura carries moderation and integrity infrastructure, and content discloses when AI contributed to it. AI assists composition; a person approves what is published.
WHAT AURA IS NOT
Aura is not an outbound sales or CRM tool. It is not a publishing platform for authored long-form work. It does not run advertising, and it does not track you across other companies' apps.
