These planetary gods are Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangal), Mercury(Budha), Jupiter (Guru), Venus (Sukhra), Saturn (Shani), Rahu and Kethu. It is believed that these planetary god's positions influence every aspect of human life and for all the good and bad one faces in life. All miseries and obstacles caused by one or many planets will be mitigated by chanting Navgrah Mantra relevant to the specific planet(s).
