In addition to saving water in the bath and kitchen, plants are included in this savings list. To have more green at home, there is an option: cactus garden. Know a little about them:

Cacti are hardy plants, but that doesn't mean they don't need water. The "skin" of the cacti is thick and has a wax that helps prevent water loss through perspiration.

The plant also has stomata, (structures similar to our pores) with the strong sun, they remain closed to prevent the loss of water in the form of steam. Thorns are a striking feature that represents the leaves and this is another way to reduce water loss, because without the leaves they prevent perspiration.

If you are not very good with plants or suffer from the rush on a daily basis, know that there is a perfect species for your lifestyle: cacti. They can be found in several sizes and, for sure, you will discover an ideal one for any environment of your home. Cylindrical shaped cactus, divided into buds covered by rigid and long brown spines. As it grows it develops a head at the top, covered with very small, thin and red spines. Among the thorns small pink flowers are born.
