Sharp is a service that helps you assess your current risk of dementia. We provide an assessment which will let you know your personal risk factors associated with dementia and your overall brain health.

All Sharp features are currently available free of charge.

Dementia is the long-term health challenge of the century, with the number of patients affected set to triple and dementia costs to double globally by 2050. In 2016 dementia became the leading cause of death for Australian women. In Australia, dementia caused more than 13,000 deaths in 2017, and it is estimated that there are more than 400K people living with dementia in 2020 in Australia (source: Dementia org, Australia).

Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and other dementias are in the medical top 10 causes of death without a cure available. Focusing on early detection and prevention measures of AD and other dementias is a key :
- If diagnosis is done early enough there are higher chances for interventions and lifestyle improvements to be effective.
- If prevention is introduced early enough there is a chance to reduce the prevalence of dementia at the population level.
- Early diagnosis may allow access to a more appropriate care. Our service is quality assured by our team of medical and science experts.
