GBV Safe App is a digital platform that supports and protects the victims/survivors of gender-based violence. “Safe App” was initiated by the Ministry of Women’s Affairs, Cambodia, funded by UNFPA. The key support functions in Safe App includes Urgent Help, Understanding Gender Based Violence, Intervention gender-based violence, Legal support, Support service, Tips for self-care and Phone number, Map, and Links to services. Functions include:

Urgent Help
Urgent care helplines and contacts available on the app such as
1280 Child Helpline
MoWA Helpline: 093 777 900 or 085 777 900 from 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday thru Friday except Public holidays

Education on GBV
Gender based violence or “GBV” is violence that is directed at a woman because she is a woman or that affects women disproportionately. Safe App provides content to educate and help women understand on the topic and advise what they can do.

Service providers and contacts
Providing list of information regardings Providers and Contacts that provide Psycho-social Support, Health and treatments for sexual assault, Police and Legal informations.

Accessibilities
Safe app provides voice-assisted function for people having difficulties reading text by providing text-to-voice for each interaction.

Anonymity
Interactions in the app cannot be linked back to the user in order to provide a safe and anonymous experience for the user.
