Standing firmly on the pillars of Knowledge, Character and Unity, ABVP is the World’s largest organization of Students, Teachers and Academicians. Since 1949, ABVP Workers continue work relentless as torchbearers of the Nation. The firm belief of ABVP lies in the fact mere struggles and agitations are not the sole solution to the problems of Students. Positive agenda is the real solution. The main agenda of ABVP is to mould the character of an individual to channelize the youth energy into positive channels. Personality development, strengthening of organizational capability and skills of the students is the prime motive of ABVP. In its long journey wherein ABVP focused on multiple issues plaguing Indian Educational System starting from educational policy at the higher level to sheer commercialization at the lower level and achieved good success in betterment of the educational system as well as bringing transparency. Whether it is the foreigners issue of North East or the local issue of non-availability of faculty or books to students, ABVP is the first organization to respond.

ABVP believes in instilling strong nationalist fervor, ideals of self-Iess service & putting nation above self and countering anti-national forces. The portals of ABVP shaped the careers of lakhs of individuals, some of whom attained highest positions in Society and could make their own mark at national and international level. Decentralization is the key of functioning of ABVP. Several national and international level programmes like SEIL, free coaching classes, blood banks, vocational directories, counselling for admissions, model examinations, job fairs and international youth exchange programmes endear millions of students to ABVP, who remain committee life long to the ideals of ABVP. ABVP is strongly committed to Gender Equality and encourages women to be active partners in the movement. Safety of girl students is also a prime concern of ABVP and programmes like Mission Sahasi are launched in this direction. Programmes like SEIL were launched to bring students from remote areas like North East into the mainstream by inviting them to live with families of other regions. Upliftment and protection of weaker sections and making them equal partners in all spheres of life including academics is a continuous endeavor of ABVP.

With advent of time, ABVP modernized its methods of work. From physical contact programmes, ABVP seamlessly progressed in adopting digital platforms and ICT in its daily functioning. ABVP was the first organization to realize that different segments of students have different needs and there is no unique or straight-jacketed solution. To meet the demands of different segments, ABVP started different platforms exclusively catering to different segments like Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, Music etc.
Several workers of ABVP became martyrs while fighting against the fissiparous and anti-national forces trying to balkanize the Country into pieces at regional and sub-regional level. Yet, ABVP and the families of the martyrs continue their march towards the goal of making Bharat, a world leader, the position it lost in long period of slavery. ABVP salutes all the teachers, academicians, students and full time workers who have been instrumental in making the educational system meaningful, useful and moulding the lives of millions of students in positive way and orienting them towards the cherished goal of making India, Vishwa Guru again.
