Digital HEalth LiteRacy Education For Vulnerable Groups (iHERE) project is co-funded by the European Commission (Erasmus+, number: 2020-1-BE02-KA204-074827) and aims to support individuals from different walks of life to learn how to seek, find, understand, and appraise health information from electronic sources and apply the knowledge gained to addressing their health problems together with their healthcare professionals.
The project's primary beneficiaries are (a) migrants/refugees, (b) older adults and (c) people from low socioeconomic backgrounds, living in poverty and at risk of social exclusion. Our secondary target group are (a) stakeholders such as VET institutions, CSOs NGOs, training centers, health centers, etc., as well as (b) professionals interested in the area of adult education, digital skill development and health literacy.
Through the mobile application, users will be able to access the content of the iHERE website and read about the project, the partnership and find all final outcomes. The mobile application offers a virtual learning environment equipped with the iHERE Curriculum which includes training modules intended to be used to train adults around the subject of digital and health literacy. The training material is divided into 7 modules (including a pre-assessment questionnaire & a final quiz for those interested in obtaining a certificate) on health-related topics such as nutrition and physical wellbeing, mental health, digital health education, gender-related health, family health and vaccination and immunization. The mobile application can also be used to communicate with other users and share thoughts on the subject of the project as well as to contact the partners for your feedback, further ideas and questions.
