About TraderX: Trading Journal

TraderX is a trading journal for people who want to know why they lose, not just how much.

Most journals tell you what happened: win rate, average profit, best instrument. You read it and learn nothing new, because those numbers describe the market. TraderX also measures the part that is actually yours: your behaviour, and what it costs.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Trades arrive on their own. Install a small expert advisor in MetaTrader 4 or 5 once, and closed trades appear in the journal by themselves. No files to export, nothing to remember. You can also connect your broker account directly if you prefer.

Candles come from your broker's own feed. This matters more than it sounds. A wick that grabs liquidity by two points looks different at every data provider, and analysis built on someone else's chart describes a market you never traded.

Maximum adverse and favourable excursion. See how deep a trade went against you before it turned, and how much it was worth at its best moment. A trade that closed at +500 may have been worth +1200. Journals that import CSV files cannot show this: the report only records entry and exit, never what happened in between.

Discipline breaches, priced in money. Entering minutes after a loss. Increasing size after a loss. Moving a stop further away. Trading on through a losing streak. Entering inside a high-impact news window. Each case is listed with the trade it belongs to and what it actually cost.

SMC and ICT markup. Order blocks, fair value gaps, liquidity sweeps, break of structure and change of character are detected on your broker's candles and offered as suggestions. Only findings confirmed BEFORE your entry bar are offered: a zone that became visible two hours later could not have been your reason.

Backtesting on history. Take a setup and see where it worked and where it did not, across every timeframe, broken down by year, quarter, month and week. Deals are drawn on the chart itself, so a number you distrust can be looked at.

Broker costs. Commission and swap exactly, spread as an estimate that is labelled as an estimate. You see how much of your average winning trade the broker takes.

Prop firm mode. Daily and overall drawdown against your firm's rules, with the day calculated on your broker server's clock rather than yours, because that is when the limit actually resets.

Daily risk limit for ordinary accounts. A warning before the next trade, not a post mortem after the month is gone.

HONEST BY DESIGN

Where the data does not support a number, TraderX shows no number and explains why. R-multiple is calculated only from the initial stop, never from the last one. Reference prices are labelled as reference prices with their delay. Nothing here is a recommendation about future trades, and the app never places an order.

PRIVACY

Lock the journal with your fingerprint, your face or your device passcode. While the lock is on, the app covers its contents when it goes to the background, so trades and balances stay out of the task switcher. The lock is optional and off until you turn it on.

An account is required. Registration is free.
