Audio guide app to the exhibition “Susanna“ at Wallraf-Richartz-Museum Cologne
The Wallraf-Richartz Museum Cologne offers its visitors a free app for its major special exhibition in 2022/23 SUSANNA - Images of a Woman from the Middle Ages to MeToo. In this exhibition, you can discover how the abuse of power and sexual violence has been dealt with over the centuries in painting and prints. Proven experts offer their personal thoughts on nearly 30 outstanding masterpieces by such painters as Artemisia Gentileschi, Anthony van Dyck, Rembrandt, Eugène Delacroix, Édouard Manet and Lovis Corinth. These works offer an insight into diverse interpretations of the biblical Susanna story, changes in demand on the art market, and the rivalries and artistic discourses fuelled by images of Susanna. The show is rounded off with impressive works by such contemporary artists as Cathleen Gilje, Zoe Leonard and Chris Ware, as well as a brief look at the world of cinema with Alfred Hitchcock’s film Psycho.
The app also has all the information you need for your visit, from how to get there to opening times and ticket prices, and the tours on offer.
