Each game in neds has a first-run achievement, a milestone that unlocks the very first time you complete a meaningful action in that game, designed to make every new player feel immediately recognized.
In Runner, the first achievement triggers after your first completed run; in Flappy, after passing your first set of pipes; in Stack, after placing your first block; in Helix Jump, after clearing your first ring.
These entry achievements serve a purpose beyond congratulation: they confirm the controls have been understood and give a small burst of positive reinforcement at the exact moment a new player is deciding whether to keep playing.
Each first-run achievement is the first of six in its game, pointing naturally to the next milestone and creating an onboarding ladder that guides players from beginner to skilled without any tutorial text.
All achievements are stored locally with no account or internet required, and are visible from any game's achievement panel at any time.
