How does the App work alongside the YUConnects process?

YUConnects combines modern technology and the personal touch of a Jewish matchmaker to make matches that meet your unique personality and needs. Our experienced Jewish Matchmakers are from diverse backgrounds, and focus on different age groups, religious levels, locations and personalities. Throughout the world, our matchmakers work with Jewish singles who consider themselves "Just Jewish", Conservative, Modern Orthodox or Yeshivish/Black Hat.
• When you become a member, you are required to fill out a profile that includes information about your religious background, lifestyle, interests, references, description about self and criteria you are looking for in another person.
• You then select matchmakers (up to 2) for you based on your location, age, and religious orientation.
• Matchmakers will then get to know you better. The Chat function of this app allows frequent and instant communication between members and matchmakers.
• Matchmaker select profiles of potential matches and gives you access to those profiles for your review. This app enables users to ask questions about the match’s profiles and for the matchmaker to let the member know why they think it is a great match idea. If member’s have feedback about the match, they can easily send a message to highlight their dating needs.
• The member then “declines” or “accepts” a potential match through the system. This communication app, means the matchmakers and members can respond instantly, speeding up the dating process.
• When two members both agree to a match, contact info is exchanged so the members can then call each other or chat and set up dates through this app.
