About Rainform
Rainform is an on-device rainfall-type simulator for meteorology and hydrology concepts.
Adjust three inputs:
• CAPE (J/kg) for convective potential
• Wind shear (m/s/km) for system organization
• Terrain uplift for orographic forcing
The app classifies stratiform, convective, orographic, or mixed rainfall with a simplified local model and updates:
• Cloud structure sketches (layered, tower cells, windward uplift, mixed)
• Radar reflectivity patterns (dBZ)
• Raindrop size spectrum curves
All simulation runs on your device. No account is required. Parameters stay in local storage. There is no share or export of your data.
