West Zone Power Distribution Company Limited (WZPDCL) was constituted as an electricity distribution company in November 2002 as a part of Government’s Reform Programs
by way of unbundling the Power Sector and increasing efficiency by ensuring accountability and better services in the field of Generation, Transmission and Distribution
through reduction of distribution system loss and strengthening the financial position. WZPDCL distributes electricity in the Western Zone (Khulna Division, Barisal
Division and Greater Faridpur comprising of 21 districts and 20 upazilla excluding REB area) of the country. The operational activities of WZPDCL commenced on April 01, 2005
by taking over the distribution system of the then Distribution, Western Zone of BPDB. WZPDCL commenced its functioning from April, 2005 independently.
WZPDCL would like to provide Mobile Application to its customers or any smartphone user regarding the following:
1. Information about their bill status (Paid or Unpaid)
2. Detailed Bill Information
3. Information of the bill which was paid last (Number/Account Number)
4. Pay the last unpaid bills through various valid electronic payment channels
5. Electricity usage information for the last six months through graphs
6. Get Electricity Tariff Chart
7. Information of ESU Location with map, address and telephone numbers
8. Informing any new facilities or new services introduced by the WZPDCL etc.
9. Use of slider images to build awareness regarding conscious electricity usage.
