Worqly is a Brazilian platform that connects clients with domestic and residential service providers such as electricians, plumbers, painters, house cleaners, gardeners, babysitters, and caregivers for the elderly, focusing on secure hiring.
The key differentiator is escrow payment: the agreed-upon amount is held by the platform as soon as the client accepts the quote and is only released to the service provider after the client confirms, within the app, that the service was completed as agreed. If something goes wrong, the client can report the problem before releasing the payment.
Another pillar is the verification of service providers: before appearing in searches, each professional undergoes CPF (Brazilian tax ID) confirmation, background check, ID selfie, and portfolio review of previous work. This process is mostly automated, with human review in specific cases.
The entire journey takes place within the app: chat, quote, scheduling, payment, and real-time tracking, without depending on WhatsApp or external arrangements, maintaining a traceable history of the negotiation.
