Betano puts you in the saddle for a tournament of timing and nerve. Two knights charge down the list; you pick a line - high at the helm, mid at the shield, low at the saddle - and couch your lance as a charge bar sweeps past its sweet zone. Aim is also your guard: high beats low, low beats mid, and mid beats high, so reading your opponent's habits matters as much as your reflexes. Land a clean, perfectly-timed strike for a full point, a late one for a partial, or get caught guessing wrong and eat the champion's lance instead. Best of five passes decides each round.
Twenty tournaments rise in difficulty. Early opponents ride a simple, learnable pattern; seasoned champions start countering your last pass, and by the final tourneys they track your favourite line and even feint to keep you honest. Nothing here is scripted luck - every joust is a fair, deterministic duel of timing and pattern-reading, and the champion never cheats or makes an illegal move.
