About RePlayMe English

Many English learners have difficulties understanding real conversations, for example in movies. They switch on the English subtitles, but then they train their reading skills and not their listening skills. Even if they know all the words in a sentence, they can't understand all of them without the subtitles.

If you are one of those learners, then this app can help you to start understanding spoken English better and better. With our method, you will be listening a lot to "hidden" sentences which you can't see at first. This way, you have to listen and guess what is being said. Then you can open the words and immediately see what you couldn't understand. Over time, your listening skills will improve.

That is the main idea of RePlayMe. But the app has more functions to offer:

- context-based learning with audio stories

- simple stories (fairy tales) as well as more difficult ones (excerpts from novels)

- native English speakers as narrators (no artificial voices)

- translations (German and Spanish) for all words and important expressions

- the words can be saved in a list for vocabulary training

- some sentences have contextual information about grammar and pronunciation

- testing and improving your own pronunciation


Note: You should have at least a basic knowledge of English. If you are a beginner, then this app is probably not for you (yet). (Unless you like challenges!)
