This application is part of a user study in the context of a research at the KU Leuven.
In this research we are looking into the potential of an augmented reality laboratorium. In this application the user can test an augmented reality titration experiment.
WHY?
Today, for chemical engineering studies more and more practical sessions for students are reduced
in duration and frequency, or even completely removed from higher education curricula for
logistical reasons. How can the students obtain the practical abilities required in the process of
experimentation without physical laboratories?
In recent years, augmented reality has been used as a potential aid for education. It is a means of simulating in any location the experiences that would otherwise only be seen in the real lab. Moreover, it can be potentially used for training in situations where time, cost and safety represent a constraint for experimentation.
This research takes place in context of the CHARMING project (https://charming-etn.eu).
